Surefire Flashlights - LED Flashlight

Compact, (palm sized) high-intensity incandescent flashlights for tactical, self-defense, and general use. Similar to 6P Original but with a crenellated Strike Bezel™ for enhanced self-defense capabilities and a click-on/off tailcap. Produces a smooth, brilliant, pre-focused, tactical-level beam with over three times the light of a big two-D-cell flashlight—bright enough to temporarily blind and disorient an attacker by impairing his night-adapted vision. Light output may be nearly doubled with optional P61 lamp. Small size and high output make it an excellent everyday-carry light.

The 6P is the light that started it all. The first light to use lithium batteries and a high-output xenon bulb, the 6P continues to be one of Surefire Flashlights bestsellers, and why not? A good idea is a good idea. The updated 6P is still precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, but with the addition of PyrexTM window and an anti-roll bezel and a lock-out tailcap to prevent accidental discharge of light during tactical operations, transportation, or storage. The 6P produces 65 lumens of light for 60 minutes (as bright as a much larger four D-cell flashlights), or 120 lumens for 20 minutes with the optional ultra high output lamp. The 6P also features unique switching originally developed for law enforcement- twist for constant-on, or depress the tailcap button for momentary illumination or emergency signaling.

Taking the 6P one level up in brightness, the 9P™ Original is back in 2005 after a brief hiatus on the discontinued list. This three-battery version of the 6P Original produces 105 lumens with a standard lamp assembly, upgradeable to 200 lumens with an optional ultra high-output lamp. The 9P features a glossy black Type II anodized finish and is O-ring sealed against moisture.

The Outdoorsman Series is new for 2005 and consists of two SureFire models, the E1L and E2L Outdoorsman flashlights, powered by one and two lithium batteries respectively. The Outdoorsman Series offers a single level of white LED light, operated with a click-on tailcap. The light source is a single-die 3 watt Luxeon LED producing 30 lumens (E2L) and 25 lumens (E1L).

The Outdoorsman models are CNC machined from aerospace-grade aluminum with a natural hard anodized finish of Type III MilSpec standards. They are O-ring sealed against moisture and come with black oxide coated stainless steel pocket clips that easily clip to the bill of a ballcap to make into a handsfree headlamp.

Small size, light weight, and long runtime also make it perfect for travel, backpacking, camping, or sticking in an emergency/disaster-preparedness kit.

The G2Z Surefire Flashlight is almost identical to SureFire's best selling aluminum CombatLight®, the Z2, which has become standard issue for the FBI, U.S. Air Marshals, and police departments worldwide. Constructed of Nitrolon, a corrosion-proof proprietary polymer that absorbs shock more efficiently than aluminum, the new G2Z shares all of the best features of the best-selling Z2 CombatLight, yet is lighter and more water-resistant. The G2Z is powered by two lithium batteries (10-year shelf life), and a patented rubber grip ring allows the light to be operated with a handgun using the Rogers/SureFire technique. And, although three to four times brighter than a much larger two D-cell flashlight, this lightweight powerhouse is less than five inches long, making it ideal for those times when space is at a premium and weight is an issue.
